Bad Boy - Olivia Goldsmith - Audio Book

Bad Boy - Olivia Goldsmith : Best friends Tracie and Jonny meet for coffee each Sunday night to discuss their forlorn love lives. Tracie loves boys with an affinity for leather jackets and poetry - classic bad boys who seem too good to be true (and usually are); Jonny falls for girls who never like him in that way . . . until Jonny convinces Tracie to teach him some tricks of the trade. After a wardrobe makeover, learning to return from a dinner date with another phone number scrawled on his hand, scope for women at the airport baggage claim, and always carry a motorcycle helmet (even though he doesn't ride a motorcycle), Jonny quickly becomes a successful heartbreaker.

My God! What a pleasure to plunge into this novel and to remember the best friend whom we had and to whom we entrusted everything to notice that what we were looking for was simply there!

The Jane Austen Book Club - Karen Joy Fowler - Audio Book

The Jane Austen Book Club - Karen Joy Fowler : A sublime comedy of contemporary manners, this is the novel Jane Austen might well have written had she lived in twenty-first- century California.

Six Californians join to discuss Jane Austen's novels. Over the six months they meet,
marriages are tested, affairs begin, unsuitable arrangements become suitable, and love happens. With her finely sighted eye for the frailties of human behavior and her finely tuned ear for the absurdities of social intercourse, Fowler has never been wittier nor her characters more appealing. The result is a delicious dissection of modern relationships.

We all know that in our today's world relationships are far from being easy. This audio book is real fun to listen to.

Their Eyes Were Watching God - Zora Neale Hurston - Audio Book

Their Eyes Were Watching God - Zora Neale Hurston : Their Eyes Were Watching God, an American classic, is the luminous and haunting novel about Janie Crawford, a Southern Black woman in the 1930s, whose journey from a free-spirited girl to a woman of independence and substance has inspired writers and readers for close to 70 years.

This poetic, graceful love story, rooted in Black folk traditions and steeped in mythic realism, celebrates boldly and brilliantly African-American culture and heritage. And in a powerful, mesmerizing narrative, it pays quiet tribute to a Black woman who, though constricted by the times, still demanded to be heard.

The story "Their Eyes Were Watching God" in this audio book opens again another door
through which we have another point of view of the Afro-American culture.

Wild Orchids - Jude Deveraux - Romance Audio Book

Wild Orchids - Jude Deveraux - Romance Audio Book : Jude Deveraux is the author of thirty-one New York Times bestsellers, including Wild Orchids, Holly, The Mulberry Tree, The Summerhouse, and Temptation.

Since the death of his wife, author Ford Newcombe has lived a life of solitude, barely able to put pen to paper. If there's one thing that Ford needs it's inspiration, and it finally comes in the guise of Jackie Maxwell-a smart, sassy university researcher with just enough attitude to match Ford's sharp intellect. As Ford and Jackie grow closer, they discover a connection between their lives and the past, a connection that not only helps them solve a long-ago crime but offers the promise of new love.

This book contained exactly what I love : suspense, mistery and a happy end.

My Favourite Romance Audios

Is not it great to suffer and share the joys of the heroin or the hero in a juicy romance story?

I used to read romance novels but now I have discovered an even better way: it's like in the old days when I was a kid and Grandma read legends to us children : I am listening to romance audio books.

The narrators actually manage to add drama to the already touching story. Romance audio books are definitely one step up from the printed romance books. I love them !
